Will you provide me advice that takes into account my personal objectives, financial situation and needs?

No. Webfriends Pty Ltd is authorised to only provide general advice and not personal advice. As such we have no knowledge – and claim no knowledge – of your personal objectives, financial situation and needs.

Accordingly, all our advice on financial products is provided with a “general advice warning”, namely it is prepared without taking into account our client’s objectives, financial situation and needs. The advice should be considered along with reading of a product disclosure statement on financial products, advice from your personal financial advisor, or other relevant information before any advice is acted on.

Can you buy or sell investments on my behalf?

No. Webfriends Pty Ltd does not provide a broking service. We provide general financial product advice only.

Who is responsible for the financial services provided to me?

As the AFSL license holder, Webfriends Pty Ltd is responsible for the financial services provided to you.

Who do you act for when you provide financial services to me?

We act for no other party. As the AFSL license holder, Webfriends Pty Ltd is responsible for the financial services provided to you.

What should I know about the risk of the financial products or strategies you recommend to me?

We will explain to you any significant risks of financial products and investment strategies that we recommend to you. Due to their higher price volatility, for example, strategies such as investing in small capitalisation stocks may be riskier than investing in larger companies or exchange traded funds. Selling down or hedging equity market exposure can also help avoid market losses during a market downturn, but at the risk of losing investment performance if the market turndown is only temporary and markets rebound quickly.

If you are unsure of the general investment risks involved, you are free to contact us.

However, we would also urge you to consult with a personal financial advisor if you are not sure whether our recommended financial products or investment strategies are suitable to your own personal needs, risk profile, investment objectives and financial situation.

Payment process

How can I pay for the services provided?

Webfriends Pty Ltd offers different advice services with different payment processes.

For our monthly investment reports and “breaking views” email service, we operate on a subscription basis. To receive these reports you will be required to pay a subscription fee, according to the time period you agree to join for.

For public speaking and/or consulting services, the fee will be negotiated directly with you depending on the extent of services required.

Potential conflicts of interest

Do we have any associations with financial product issuers or other parties which may have influence over the financial advice provided to me?

No. Webfriends Pty Ltd is an independent financial services advisor and has no association with financial product issuers that may influence the financial advice provided to you.

Do you have any other potential conflicts of interest that may influence the nature of financial advice provided to me?

No. Webfriends Pty Ltd is an independent financial services advisor and has no association with financial product issuers – or other parties – that may present a potential conflict of interest.

The financial products we recommend are based solely on the investment merits we feel they possess.

Are there any other commissions, fees or other remuneration paid in relation to providing financial services and how are these commissions or payments calculated?

No. Webfriends Pty Ltd is an independent financial services advisor and receives no commissions, fees or other remuneration paid in relation to providing financial services.

To repeat: the financial products we recommend are based solely on the investment merits we feel they possess.
